I am Christie, and I’m an art witch and creator from the south coast of England. I live here in an old victorian terrace house with my husband and our wild little pup, Beans.
I’ve been journalling FOREVER and started sharing my journal journey online back in 2017 (under a different name back then). I started The Journal Supreme in 2019 and am so grateful to have found a beautiful and eclectic community of witches, artists and journal lovers to share my work and stories with.
I hope you can join me in being as cringe as possible in our love for journalling, art and stationery, and celebrate finding our collective and individual creativity.

As well as journalling and creating with white ink/ paint on black paper, I love to paint! Oils have always had my heart, but I also love watercolour. Recently, I’ve been dabbling in gouache which has brought a whole new life to my black paper work.

The journals you’ll see most of my work in are Archer & Olive. You can get 10% off with my code SUPREME10. They have a really good paper weight which means most pens and paint do not bleed or ghost. I also use Notebook Therapy journals which are great for not bleeding and ghosting too.

Gosh I have been through so many different types of white pens over the years, seeking the ones with the best coverage. I can confirm that, at least so far, the best I have found for working on black paper are Posca paint pens. You can get them in varying nib sizes but for really fine detail I use Sakura Gelly Roll pens.

With any journal, whether it’s a Grimoire, Book of Shadows, or bullet journal, I always recommend getting started with spreads of information that orientate you. E.g. an overview of the year, the wheel of the year (if you observe), details on the lunar phases etc. You’ll often find that other spreads and ideas come to mind after starting here.
